Job Description:Reporting to the Senior Manager, Mandatory, the L&D Developer will develop/maintain media, graphics and interactive web-based assets for innovative learning and performance solutions that strengthen employee capabilities and knowledge.Accountabilities:• Act as a subject matter expert with both practical and technical expertise in all areas of creative and graphic design, including online content design and paper-based assets• Assess business requirements, scoping key course updates, determining the work effort and time required for each project• Responsible for the overall development and authoring of online training solutions• Participate in and contribute to project scoping and planning• Interpret, maintain or develop what the learner sees in terms of graphics, formatting, animations etc. based on instructional design and subject matter expert input• Creatively maintain / develop all learning solutions (eLearning, and offline course PDFs) to be visually engaging while also in alignment with Brand standards and guidelines• Ensure learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion in developing all learning solutions• Work directly with Course Owner, Instructional Designer, and Subject Matter Experts to capture course-specific knowledge• Provide expertise on overall course development, including recommendations for optimal effectiveness and innovation• Act as Lead Developer, overseeing creation of deliverables by external developers and/or vendors on projects as assigned• Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriateMUST HAVE Experience:• 5 years of related experience required• Expert level knowledge of eLearning development using Articulate Storyline 3 or 360 is required• Expert level knowledge of creative and graphic design and use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design components within the Adobe Creative Cloud product suite is required• Expert level knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and experience with other Microsoft Office applications (I.E.
Excel, Outlook, Word) is required• Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and testing using Freedom Scientific JAWS Screen Reader• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines• Ability to think strategically and possess strong business acumen• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formNice to have Educational Requirements/Accreditations/Experience:• Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, GoAnimate/Vyond and other video production tools is an asset• Experience with mobile responsive website development using custom HTML5, CSS and JavaScript is an asset• Relevant Creative and Graphic Arts certification/degree is a definite asset• Relevant Adult Learning & Development certification/degree is an asset• Post graduate education in Adult Learning & Development is an asset
