Your expertise helps maintain equipment reliability, meet production targets, and customer satisfaction.<br><br><strong>Job Responsibilities </strong><br />The Laser Programmer is responsible for cutting steel using various types of laser cutting processes. The operator will load, run, program, and maintain flatbed laser machine according to the production schedule while ensuring productivity and efficiency targets are met. This role requires specialized skills to operate and maintain laser equipment effectively.<ul><li>Set up, operate, and monitor machine in a safe manner </li><li>Load and unload material from machine, checking steel before running it through machine</li><li>Use safe lifting devices to ensure material is prepped and ready to feed the machine</li><li>Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications</li><li>Ensure correct materials used cutting steel are clean and positioned correctly in machine</li><li>Perform tests on machine and adjust settings and speed according to product specifications</li><li>Follow all safety regulations and maintain a work area that is clean and organized </li><li>Troubleshoot errors and perform minor maintenance of machine to improve cut quality </li><li>Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications</li><li>Maintain accurate record keeping </li><li>Maintain process quality assurance by examining completed work pieces for defects </li></ul><br /><strong>Qualifications</strong><ul><li>1-3 years experience operating an Amada and/or Mitsubishi laser cutting machine is required</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Excellent organizational skills</li><li>Experience with operating a Press Break </li><li>Experience operating CNC machines (Mill or Lathe)</li><li>Overhead crane and forklift certified </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment or independently</li><li>Self-motivated and takes initiative to identify problems, opportunities and solutions </li><li>Prior programming experience </li><li>Exceptional attendance</li></ul><br /><strong>Why JFE?</strong><br />Competitive wage<br />Competitive extended healthcare, vision and dental benefits<br />EAP<br />Production Bonus Plan<br />Company Pension<br />RRSP Match<br />On the job training<br />Boot Allowance<br />Employee Events<br><br><em>Please note: JFE Shoji Power does not accept agency resumes and is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.</em><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>byJ6nOjOpm</p></p></p>
