All of our senior site staff and the majority of our leadership team started in entry-level positions.</p><p><br /></p><p>Landscape Technician</p><p>We are in search of skilled and experienced landscapers to keep up with our increasing amount of commercial and residential landscape installations throughout the lower mainland. We are looking for career-minded people who have a passion for the work they do. Training is provided.</p><p><br /></p><p>Candidates at this level are expected to:</p><ul><li>Be legal to work in Canada</li><li>Have a minimum of of 1 year experience in hardscape installation or related field</li><li>Be physically fit and capable of lifting 40-80 pounds regularly</li><li>Be able and willing to travel to work sites throughout the lower mainland (Having a valid drivers license would be an asset)</li><li>Be able to effectively communicate in English</li><li>Adhere to company safety standards and policies</li><li>Represent Isidore Landscapes positively to contractors & clients</li><li>Work as part of a team or independently on the work site<br><br></li></ul><p>Typical tasks include:</p><ul><li>Material handling and placing</li><li>Installing hardscape components (pavers, slabs, wall blocks)</li></ul><ul><li>Machine Operation</li><li>Power Tool Operation</li><li>Reading Architectural Drawings and Details as instructed by Supervisor</li><li>Photo documentation as instructed by Supervisor</li><li>Safety documentation as instructed by Supervisor</li><li>Communicating with other trades and General Contractor staff</li><li>Receive deliveries on site</li><li><span >Intermittent/regular</span> use of company vehicle</li><li>Instructing and Supervising other workers<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Typical project installations include:</p><ul><li>Interlocking pavers and paving slabs</li><li>Segmented retaining walls<br /></li><li>Drainage systems</li><li>Irrigation systems</li><li>Hardscape and softscape bulk material placing</li><li>Installation of shrubs and trees, green roofs, sod lawns</li><li>Exterior carpentry and site furnishings</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Starting wage and advancement will be based on:</p><ul><li>Experience and knowledge of common landscape and related exterior installations</li><li>Ability and experience with common landscape tools such as cut-off saw, compactor</li><li>Excavator, skid steer or related machine experience or certification</li><li>Reliability, punctuality, professionalism and work ethic</li><li>Willingness and ability to learn new skills</li><li>Interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Adherence to company safety standards and policies</li><li>Ability to work independently and see tasks through to completion</li><li>Attention to detail, quality and efficiency in completing assigned tasks</li><li>Willingness to be a part of a collaborative and encouraging team</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Expected Start Date: Immediately</p><p>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Salary: $25.00- $32.00</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Extended health and dental benefits (including life insurance and long term disability) following 3-month probation period</li><li>DPSP following 1 year of employment for Canadian Citizens/ PR</li><li>Profit sharing at the end of the year depending on companys performance</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest in our Company and regret only those shortlisted candidates will be contacted.</p><p>Isidore Landscapes is an equal opportunity employer.</p><p><em>For more information on Isidore Landscapes, please visit <span >https://isidorelandscapes.com/</span></em></p></p></p>
