What you’ll do Reporting to the Manager, Technology and Projects, The Kronos Specialist would be responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of daily time and attendance tracking for Distribution Employees. The incumbent will also be accountable for first level support of the Kronos application and its users, as well as continual analysis, development and support of new processes. To produce these results they must have a keen eye for details, be able to identify errors and opportunities for improvement in Kronos payroll administration. This is a part-time weekend support position at our Distribution Centre, requiring 20 hours per week. The shift is scheduled for daytime hours on Saturdays and Sundays. In this role, you’ll: * Gather attendance data on a daily basis * Administer and maintain Distribution employee attendance records * Administer daily exceptions and absence reporting * Identify and validate discrepancies in daily attendance reporting * Create and transmit reports and payroll files * Investigate, resolution, and documentation of pay discrepancies * Ensure updates from HRIS take place and interface employee information correctly, monitor vacation/bank/flex balances, maintain profiles & schedules, etc * Function as a contact person for projected payrolls and other special payroll requests. * Update daily attendance sheets with employee changes in HRIS reporting * Run exception reports in Manhattan and reconcile variations for PTS Reporting * Be accountable for the accuracy of employee payroll records * Provide Accounting with weekly cost center reports. * Maintain & Support 7 Day Operations employee schedules observing and maintaining shift & crew trades, holidays, overtime & employee leave as per policy * Diagnose and escalate first level Kronos system support issues to appropriate parties & Global Support * First line of support for Kronos system upgrades and enhancements. * Communicate with other business units to ensure accurate and consistent information is obtained per CTC and governing attendance standards and policies * Administer student and contract payouts * Other duties as assigned What you bring * Experience in dealing with the administration of confidential information * Experience with Microsoft Office applications * Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision * Strong commitment to exceeding customer expectations * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills * Ability to meet deadlines and flexibility within work hours * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Attention to detail is essential * Ability to work overtime as required * Post secondary education or equivalent work experience * Prior experience in payroll administration or other related fields is preferred About Us Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (“CTC”) is one of Canada’s most admired and trusted companies.
