We are seeking several experienced avionics, instrumentation and component bench technicians to join our Calgary team, specializing in the repair of aircraft instruments and components.

These highly specialized roles are perfect for someone who thrives in an independent work environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and has a deep understanding of aviation electronics, components, and instrumentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay Rate: $25.00-50.00/hr

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday-Friday 08:00-4:30pm (Flexible working hours)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving avionic electrical, instrumentation and components
  • Using special instruments for diagnostics
  • Interpreting manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other resources
  • Utilizing technical schematics to diagnose and repair components and systems
  • Diagnosing issues from complex systems and applying effective solutions
  • Accurate completion of required paperwork in accordance with published procedures, manuals and documentation
  • Working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasks, managing time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Assisting other areas when needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO QUALIFY:


  • Proven experience in aircraft electronics component and electrical troubleshooting, preferably within aviation instrumentation, avionics or components
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong technical proficiency and a solid understanding of electrical schematics
  • Ability to work independently and manage troubleshooting tasks without direct supervision
  • Comfortable working in a quiet, self-reliant role
  • Ability to read and follow drawings and work instructions for PCB assembly
  • Good Vision/Use of Tools: Strong vision for detail or proven experience using magnification tools (e.g., microscopes, magnifying glasses) for precise soldering
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills to report product condition to ensure that it meets specifications
  • Reliable transportation (public transit is accessible to this site)
