Job Description The successful candidate will be engaged in projects in the renewable fuels, renewable natural gas, gas processing, green hydrogen, mining, pulp and paper, and food and beverage industries. We are seeking engineers with the desire to successfully deliver projects from early technoeconomic studies through commissioning. To be successful in this role one must work on multiple projects simultaneously, work independently and have the technical skills to produce designs from concept through completion.

We are open to working remotely for candidates anywhere in Western North America. Responsibilities Deliver process engineering activities to meet the defined scope in the time required Generate and be involved with all aspects of process engineering work including the development of design criteria, hydraulics, calculations, analysis, studies, simulations, flow diagram generation, report generation and presentation, scopes of work developing, hours estimating, proposal development Perform modelling, simulations, and calculations of process units and process systems. Primarily using Aspen HYSYS Professional authentication of drawings and reports Create PFDs, P&IDs, and other flow sheets, when required Perform detailed reviews of project process design specifications, design drawings, and standard detail drawings Provide drafters with modifications to technical drawings and work plans according to engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for the design team Develop work plans, execution of strategies, and project resource planning given schedule, budget, and scope constraints Provide support to projects as required, while working with other discipline engineers, designers and support staff Support the department and projects by mentoring and supervising junior team members as required Assist project managers, peers and business development with other duties as required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution in Canada or the US 5 years of experience as a process engineering Extensive experience with HYSYS required Registered as an EIT or P. Eng with EGBC or APEGA US PE or Canadian P.

Eng designation preferred Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members, proficient in oral and written communication. Ability to communicate in French considered an asset Proactive with a high degree of initiative Highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent grasp of engineering principles and experience assessing complex systems Ability to work in both a design office and operating plant environments Additional information Sacré-Davey offers a competitive compensation package, as well as a creative, cohesive work environment and continuous opportunity for development.
