Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Interim Chief Financial Officer to join our organization on a temporary basis. As the Interim CFO, you will play a critical role in providing strategic financial leadership during a transitional period. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company, implementing financial strategies, and ensuring the efficient management of financial resources.


  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop, refine, and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s short-term and long-term business objectives .
  • Financial Oversight: Provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry benchmarks.
  • Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow management to support operational needs, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Identify , assess, and manage financial risks, proposing and implementing proactive measures to safeguard the financial health of the organization.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, offering insightful analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Interim Leadership: Assume a leadership role in the finance function, providing guidance to the finance team during this interim period.
  • Cost Efficiency: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost efficiency and drive initiatives to enhance overall financial performance.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and financial compliance, mitigating legal and financial risks.
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior management, offering financial insights and recommendations
  • External Conversations: Engage in external conversations and partnerships to support the company’s financial objectives . Collaborate with stakeholders, financial institutions, and industry experts to position the company strategically in the retail apparel landscape.
  • Path to the Future: Proactively lead discussions and initiatives that contribute to the future growth and sustainability of the company. Provide financial insights to support external relationships and shape the strategic direction of the organization.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance role, particularly within the retail apparel sector.
  • Interim Leadership: Demonstrated success in providing interim financial leadership with a focus on efficiency and strategic guidance.
  • Retail Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the retail apparel industry, including market trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully navigating financial challenges in a retail environment .

Salary Range: $208,000 – $260,000 CAD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on provincial or federal requirements.
