Definity Financial is seeking an Integration Management Office (IMO) Program Specialist (Contract) to join the Corporate Strategy Office. Reporting to the AVP, Strategy Management, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of a large-scale M&A integration by providing administrative, operational, and systems support to the Integration Management Office (IMO). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a 12 month contract role with opportunity for extension.

What can you expect in this role?

  • Support IMO team in managing communications cadences, and internal deliverable timelines
  • Maintain centralized repositories, documentation and version control with up-to-date templates, reports, and communications
  • Monitor project status across workstreams on integration tool, assist with timely reporting, report and escalate to IMO leadership and team as needed
  • Assist with IMO responsibilities such as meeting, data and work package requests
  • Schedule recurring and ad hoc integration meetings, workshops, and executive check-ins across time zones
  • Proactively manage meeting logistics including agendas, locations, technology setup, and attendee lists
  • Take detailed and actionable notes during integration meetings and distribute minutes in a timely manner
  • Track action items, owners, and deadlines, and follow up as needed to ensure progress
  • Serve as point of contact for access management and onboarding/offboarding to integration-specific platforms/tools and shared workspaces eg SharePoint
  • Troubleshoot basic access issues and escalate technical blockers as needed
  • Provide ad hoc logistic and administrative support on special integration-related projects
  • Support development of materials for executive reporting

What do you bring to the role?


  • 3-5 years of experience in a program coordination role, withsignificant experience gained on M&A Integration; experience at a top tier management consulting firm is an asset
  • Demonstrated success in delivering and executing in dynamic and constantly evolving environments
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and gain expertise in new functional areas
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing excellent work products
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple, conflicting priorities
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve results
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to build rapport with a wide variety of people across the organization
  • A high degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information
  • Experience working in a coordination capacity on large-budget, cross-disciplinary projects
  • M&A or integration experience preferred
  • Undergraduate degree at a leading university, with high achievement
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Experience in the insurance industry, financial services or a publicly traded company environment is an asset
