Location: 1600 Thornton Road N., Oshawa, Ontario (currently under construction)

Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, from 5am to 3:30pm

About the opportunity:

The Warehouse Coordinator assists in balancing the demand of inbound, outbound, put away and replenishment of product at the distribution facility.

Coordinate outbound and inbound loads according to schedule and volume, working with the shift supervisor to assign pick tickets according to priority.



The attributes we are looking for:

  • Promote a safe work environment in accordance with the company Health and Safety Policy and the OHSA through safety observations & JHSC inspections to maintain employee safety.
  • Assist in balancing the volume demand and labour requirement of various warehouse functions such as shipping, receiving, put away and replenishments. Reviews weekly requirements and plans work in advance to accommodate peaks times.
  • Close orders in Infolog, reconcile information errors, ensure orders are invoiced accurately and efficiently.
  • Track inventory fill rates and customer demand, identifying any gaps for correction to ensure proper staffing and transportation requirements are aligned to demand in order to reduce fill rate penalties and late deliveries.
  • Maintain shipping supply inventories to ensure the efficiency of load planning (BOL, manifests, etc.). Liaise and coordinate third party carriers for seamless pickup schedules.
  • Monitor open deliveries in Infolog regularly to ensure system and inventory accuracy in order to meet customer demands.
  • Coordinate, file, and maintain accurate records on all documentation for incoming, and outgoing materials to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Support all warehouse initiatives in coordination with the site leadership team.

    Build strong rapport with drivers, actively participate on projects, identify gaps and areas for improvement and recommend solutions.

What you will bring:

  • Post Secondary education in related field or equivalent warehouse experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in warehouse environment
  • Strong initiative and decision-making skills to identify and solve problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated commitment to development and continuous improvement
  • Proficient with standard programs including; Microsoft office, WMS and SAP software
