We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team and help support our employees and leaders in all areas of the employee life cycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes, including career fairs, job postings, screening, scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Introduce new employees to King Animal Hospital by leading the orientation program every two weeks.
  • Administer HR documentation, including employment agreements, benefits, and RSP enrollments, WSIB claim forms, and personnel file maintenance.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations such as managing HRIS data entry, employee status changes, and reporting.
  • Serve as a member of the Health & Safety Committee and help with facility inspections and incident investigations.
  • Assist in benefits and payroll administration.
  • Answer general employee and manager inquiries.
  • Support training initiatives and help organize employee engagement activities and wellness programs.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including tracking probationary reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct research and support policy and program development.
  • Help maintain compliance with employment standards, health and safety requirements, and other applicable legislation.
  • Participate in HR projects and support the development and improvement of HR programs and processes.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an HR support or coordinator role (experience in healthcare or a fast-paced environment is an asset)
  • Experience developing reports in MS Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of general HR practice and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems are assets.
  • CHRP designation or working toward certification is an asset.
