Role Overview:
Korn Ferry has partnered with a growing privately held company on their search for their first Human Resources Leader located in the Moose Jaw area. This is an excellent opportunity to elevate the HR function to a more strategic level supporting 200+ employees across multiple locations in North America. The HR Leader will work closely with the leadership team to foster organizational growth and drive performance across the company.
This position will also lead initiatives in talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Design and implement HR strategies that support the scale of company’s growth objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to lead HR initiatives that align with and advance key business.
- Develop and deliver impactful training programs that strengthen employee capabilities and support long-term career growth.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the JGL organization.
- Travel as needed to location across western Canada to support on-site training and development.
- Establish and implement a robust succession planning framework to identify and develop future leaders across the organization.
- Lead talent reviews and facilitate leadership development workshops to strengthen the internal talent pipeline.
- Enhance the performance management process to align individual contributions with broader organizational goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and tools to managers for conducting effective evaluations and creating meaningful employee development plans.
- Cultivate a positive work environment by proactively managing employee relations and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Drive initiatives that boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies to mitigate risk and uphold standards.
- Continuously monitor HR trends and best practices to optimize processes and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Agriculture, Food, Manufacturing or related industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience.
- Payroll experience.
- Expertise in training and development, succession planning and performance management.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in Moose Jaw a minimum of 4 days per week.
