<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p><p>Bridgette Bar Canmore is looking for hosts to fill out their team on a part-time or full-time permanent basis. Hosts are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, greet all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, ring in takeout and execute curbside pickup orders, seat guests, and responsible for the overall flow of the restaurant. All set in a historic, mid-century inspired setting to keep things interesting.</p><p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER</strong></p><ul><li>Hourly wage: $15.00 to $17.00/hour</li><li>Gratuities</li><li>Duty meals</li><li>Extended health benefits after 90 days for employees working 28+ hours per week</li><li>25% Company-wide food & beverage discount & access to frequent local business discounts/specials</li></ul><p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></p><ul><li>Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner.</li><li>Answer text messages, receive and record reservations accurately in a pleasant and attentive manner. </li><li>Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services over the phone and in person.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of front desk area, restocking supplies and ensuring menus are organized.</li><li>Communicate with servers as to when next tables are going to be arriving.</li><li>Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.</li><li>Assist with settling bills and processing any credit, debit or cash transactions as required.</li><li>Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.</li><li>Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager in charge.</li><li>Assist in arranging transportation for guests if required.</li><li>Execute ad-hoc tasks are required.</li></ul><p><strong>WHAT YOU HAVE</strong></p><ul><li>1 years’ experience is preferred but not required.</li><li>Has worked with the Open Table program after, preferred not required.</li><li>Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.</li><li>Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.</li><li>Basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system.</li><li>Valid Alberta ProServe certification obtained within 30 days of starting.</li><li>Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.</li><li>Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).</li><li>Must be over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.</li></ul></p></p>
