We are integrated with International Business University (IBU)—a first-of-its-kind model where a high school and a university work in concert to expand opportunities, raise academic ambition, and accelerate pathways to postsecondary study and meaningful work.</p><p> </p><p><b>Position Title:</b> High School Teacher</p><p><b>Schedule: </b>Full and part-time opportunities available, Contract</p><p><b>Reports to</b>: Principal</p><p><b>Location:</b> Toronto, Ontario</p><p><b>Expected Start Date:</b> Immediate</p><p><br></p><p><b> Subject Areas:</b></p><ul><li><b>English:</b> ESL (levels ESLCO–ESLEO), ENG3U, ENG4U</li><li><b>Mathematics:</b> MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors), MHF4U (Advanced Functions), MDM4U (Data Management)</li><li><b>Business:</b> BBB4M (International Business Fundamentals), BOH4M (Business Leadership)</li><li><b>Social Sciences:</b> HZT4U (Philosophy), HSB4U (Challenge and Change in Society)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>We welcome candidates with cross-disciplinary subject expertise and will consider related knowledge areas.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Role Summary:</b></p><ul><li>Co-design, build, and teach OSSD courses for a launch-phase secondary program.</li><li>This role combines curriculum development with high-impact classroom instruction for domestic and international learners.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications & Application Process:</b></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Accredited bachelor’s degree required.</li><li>Demonstrated curriculum development and classroom delivery experience in at least one of the four knowledge areas.</li><li>High-level English communication skills (spoken and written); culturally responsive practice with international learners.</li><li>Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing with relevant qualifications is strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience with PBL/CBL, project-based learning, guided constructivism, and sustained inquiry design.</li><li>Proficiency with educational technology and an LMS; practical, ethical integration of AI in learning and assessment.</li><li>Experience in private/independent or start-up school environments.</li><li>Assessment leadership; data-informed instruction.</li><li>First Aid/CPR; co-curricular leadership strongly preferred</li><li>Must be legally able to work in Canada; resides in Toronto/GTA for in-person teaching.</li><li>All teachers/educators of Vega Academy must be able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Application Packages should contain the following: </p><ul><li>Curriculum vitae </li><li>A cover letter connecting your teaching experience, curriculum design, educational philosophy and practice to inquiry, dialogue, PBL/CBL, and ethical AI integration.</li><li>Indigenization, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (I-EDI) Statement</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Application Timeline (Rolling Review)</b></p><p> We will review applications on a rolling basis, with priority given to submissions received by the dates below.</p><ul><li><b>First-round deadline:</b> October 31, 2025</li><li><b>Second-round deadline:</b> November 10, 2025</li><li><b>Subsequent rolling deadlines:</b> November 20, 2025; December 1, 2025; December 10, 2025</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Note:</b> Application materials should be submitted as a single combined PDF file, with a file name that identifies the applicant.</p><p><br></p><p>Candidates shall address their application to: Principal.
