CES Energy Solutions is a dynamic and growing North American oilfield services company listed on the TSX as CEU with revenue of over $2 billion. It is one of the largest providers of production chemicals and drilling fluid systems and is focused on being the leading provider of technically advanced chemical solutions throughout the life cycle of the oilfield.


Canadian Energy Services, the drilling fluids division of CES Energy Solutions, is looking for a self-motivated individual to fill the 1-year contract position of Graphic Designer. This full-time, on-site position is located in Calgary, Alberta and reports directly to the Director of Marketing.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Generating generic layout designs, professional reports, logo design, animations and illustrations.
  • Accurately integrate data and scientific principles into design projects.
  • Developing and executing creative strategies for marketing campaigns, branding and identity, social media, and our other channels.
  • Interpret high-level requests and design material as requested by leadership.
  • Working with third-party printers to optimize deliverables and cost.
  • Complete all other duties as required.


Qualifications and skillset include:

  • Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Science-related educational background or experience is an asset.
  • Necessary software proficiency in: Adobe After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Positive and professional mindset.
  • Ability to work under quick deadlines when necessary.
  • Ability to have constructive and creative conversations and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in digital executions strategies is preferred.
  • WordPress and Webflow experience and website development is preferred.
  • 3D animations and video creation experience is preferred.
  • Photography and video experience is an asset.
  • Oil and gas experience would be an asset.
