<p>Glass department lead position</p><p>We're looking for a Glass Line Lead to oversee daily operations in our Glass Department. This role is critical in ensuring safe handling, accurate processing, and high-quality output of glass for our window wall and curtain wall systems.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Supervise and coordinate daily glass line activities, including cutting, tempering and heat soaking,</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Inspect glass for defects (scratches, chips, tempering defects) and take corrective action.</li><li>Ensure proper machine setup and operation (tempering, cutting, and handling equipment).</li><li>Monitor and enforce safety standards and procedures.</li><li>Train, guide, and support glass line operators and new staff.</li><li>Maintain production records and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.</li><li>Communicate material shortages, tool issues, or equipment breakdowns to supervisors and maintenance.</li><li>Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.</li><li>Lead efforts in quality control, scrap management, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience in glass fabrication or related manufacturing.</li><li>Knowledge of glass processing (cutting, tempering, handling, lamination).</li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.</li><li>Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.</li></ul><p>Why Join Us?</p><p>At Blackline Aluminum, you'll be part of a fast-growing company delivering premium products for high-rise projects across the GTA.
