About Us

Olschewski Davie is a well-established law firm based in Winnipeg. We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the operational, administrative, financial, and human resources functions of our firm.


About the Role

As General Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the firm. You will be responsible for driving strategic planning, supervising support departments, and ensuring all functions align with the expectations of our Partners and clients.

You will manage a wide range of areas including facilities, staffing, budgeting, and general administration. This is a high-impact role with significant decision-making authority that directly influences firm operations and profitability.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and oversee all operational, HR, and financial aspects of the firm
  • Supervise all support staff including Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Customer Service Representatives, Building Maintenance, and Finance Department staff
  • Manage firm facilities, assets, and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement firm-wide plans and initiatives
  • Ensure smooth and effective communication between departments, staff, and Partners

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Business, or a related field from a college or university is preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm or consulting firm. Willing to train.
  • Proven skills in human resources, financial management, and operational leadership
  • Strong computer proficiency and comfort with technology
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities
  • A proactive, resourceful, and patient leader with strong supervisory skills

This role requires a professional who is alert, analytical, persuasive, and detail oriented. You must be comfortable handling situations with limited information, think creatively, and confidently lead and support a diverse team.
