Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized General Manager to join us as part of a new co-leadership model alongside the Artistic Director. The role is 4-5 days a week (negotiable).
Job Description
This newly created role will lead operations, financial management, compliance, project monitoring, and reporting, ensuring the organisation is efficient, resilient, and responsive. You will oversee internal systems, staff management, the marketing strategy, and help shape and deliver our fundraising approach.

Salary Range: £38K – £42.5K, commensurate with experience and skills, within a new co-leadership model with a new Artistic Director.
Hours: 4-5 days per week (negotiable)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Peterborough/hybrid. At least 2 days/week in the office, plus home-working, public-facing events, and external meetings.
Reports to: Board of Trustees
Line Manages: Participation Producer, Marketing & Participation Officer, freelancers, and volunteers as required.
Job Requirements
Person Specification
- Experience in senior operations, general management, or project management, ideally in the cultural or charity sector.
- Strong time management and project planning skills, with the ability to promote good practice.
- Excellent budget management and financial planning skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements for charities or arts organisations.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and external partners.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in project reporting for stakeholders, including trustees and funders like Arts Council England, and co-designing programmes with teams and collaborators.
