Expretio Technologies is an innovative company focused on pricing optimization and transport intelligence. For over two decades, Expretio has been dedicated to developing advanced AI models and software solutions to support transport operators in increasing their revenues while offering competitive services to passengers. Our solutions are tailored for the transport industry and used by rail and bus operators worldwide.

We are seeking a General Manager to lead Expretio into its next phase of success. Supported by the Modaxo model, the General Manager will build strong customer and partner relationships, understand and anticipate customer needs, and have a deep knowledge of the competitive environment to help differentiate the company. The ideal candidate is a visionary with a detailed understanding of operations, capable of effective negotiation with government, customer agencies, and other stakeholders, while championing Modaxo’s business and legal practices.



The success of the General Manager will be measured by metrics such as Net Revenue growth, bookings, BQR, Core ratios, attrition, working capital ratio, IRR for new initiatives, employee attrition, and customer experience (CX).

Leadership

  • Develop the corporate mission, communicate strategic objectives, policies, and operational plans.
  • Drive innovation across processes, R&D, initiatives, and M&A input.
  • Manage annual, quarterly, and monthly P&L forecasts and results.
  • Implement continuous improvements to streamline processes, increase productivity, and enhance value.
  • Maintain effective communication within the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR to establish recruiting, development, and retention programs.
  • Oversee sales coverage and compensation/commission models.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to ensure long-term growth and health of the sales funnel.

Program Management

  • Ensure governance of projects to adhere to scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Follow proper revenue recognition processes.
  • Escalate issues related to project problems to upper management as needed.

Customer Care

  • Implement and oversee long-term customer care programs to manage attrition.
  • Execute effective solution adoption strategies for clients.
  • Manage customer satisfaction surveys and communications.

Research and Development

  • Balance investments in R&D and maintenance to maximize growth and customer retention.
  • Establish, execute, and adapt product plans based on market needs.

The Person

  • Passionate, motivated, energetic, and curious.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding, responding).
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Organizational awareness.
  • Conceptual, systems, and design thinking skills.
  • Understanding of the global passenger transportation industry, especially in the Americas and Europe.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of management and P&L experience.
  • GTM-oriented mindset for growth.
  • Effective time management.
  • Willingness to travel within North America and internationally.
  • Reside in the US or Canada.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish is preferred.
