We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead their high-end interior design and retail operation. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, sales growth, and financial performance for a premier design and renovation organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership : Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless functionality across all departments, including sales, design, and project management.
- Sales and Business Development : Drive B2B and B2C sales by building strong relationships with builders, developers, and industry stakeholders. Develop strategies to expand the organization’s client base and market presence.
- Financial Oversight : Manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Team Leadership : Lead a team of approximately 15 staff members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and high performance. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Client Service Excellence : Uphold and enhance the organization’s reputation for providing a high-end, personalized client experience from showroom entry to project completion.
- Marketing and Networking : Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the brand effectively. Represent the organization in the construction and design communities, attending industry events and building strategic partnerships.
- Inventory and Showroom Management : Oversee inventory processes and ensure the recently renovated showroom reflects the organization’s commitment to luxury and quality.
- Hands-On Engagement : Actively immerse yourself in the business to understand its high-end service offerings and the needs of its discerning clientele.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience within the high-end retail environment with design, or renovation industries being an asset. As the General Manager, you will have a strong understanding of luxury service and product offerings coupled with exceptional understanding of client experience. You should possess a demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency, sales growth, and financial performance, as well as expertise in marketing, business development, and client service within both B2B and B2C frameworks. A solid knowledge of inventory management and showroom operations is essential, along with excellent networking and relationship-building skills, particularly within the construction and design communities. Strong financial and business acumen, the ability to manage budgets and analyze performance metrics, and exceptional organizational and communication skills are all critical to success in this role.
