Our client is searching for a General Manager to join their team and lead their civil and construction operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the construction process, ensuring efficient, high-quality project delivery that meets client expectations. A successful candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and engineering and construction management, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects and teams.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the company’s civil construction division
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to drive operational excellence
  • Monitor project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of construction teams
  • Guarantee adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other team members
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management and clients
  • Monitor overall fleet effectiveness and efficiency
  • Identify and address potential risks and issues to ensure project success
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt innovative construction methods and technologies
  • Manage financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and effective utilization to enhance productivity and efficiency


Your strengths include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
