A Restaurant General Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a restaurant. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this position:
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations: Manage front and back-of-house operations to ensure efficient service.
- Staff management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
- Customer service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and improving service quality.
- Financial management: Monitor restaurant finances, including budgeting, sales, and expenses.
- Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
- Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to attract more customers.
- Inventory management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering of supplies.
