As the General Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing restaurant operations, leading a team, ensuring exceptional customer service, achieving financial targets, upholding quality standards, and maintaining the restaurant’s reputation and vision. The role demands effective leadership, communication, organizational skills, and a profound understanding of the restaurant industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Recruit, train, supervise, and inspire a diverse team of restaurant staff.
- Set performance expectations, provide guidance, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Cultivate a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of outstanding customer service.
Operations Management :
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
- Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels, oversee supply orders, and manage vendor relationships to maintain stock while minimizing costs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation, timely service, and high-quality culinary offerings.
Customer Service and Satisfaction :
- Prioritize delivering an exceptional dining experience by upholding high standards of customer service.
- Engage with customers, promptly address inquiries or concerns, and ensure their satisfaction.
- Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and ratings, taking steps to enhance loyalty and encourage repeat business.
Financial Performance :
- Collaborate on developing and executing business strategies to meet revenue and profit goals.
- Analyze financial reports, including sales, expenses, and budgets, and implement actions to optimize performance.
- Implement cost-control measures to manage labor, food waste, and other operational expenses.
- Conduct regular financial audits and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications :
- Previous managerial experience in the restaurant industry is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food prep, service, and safety standards.
- Financial acumen to analyze reports, develop budgets, and manage costs.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with restaurant management/POS software, such as OpenTable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
