Our client is searching for a General Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing the business enterprise through providing leadership, mentorship, team building, accountability in strategic organization, production management, capacity planning, inventory control, human resources, technology, and financial control to most effectively meet the customers’ and company’s operational requirements. This role reports directly to the President.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Foster a safety-first culture by proactively creating a safe working environment.
- Promote a customer-first attitude within the organization while encouraging an owner’s mindset towards work execution.
- Develop employees to their highest potential through training, positive communication, and interdepartmental team building.
- Create standard operating procedures focusing on budget control, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Implement lean strategies across all departments to maximize employee productivity.
- Build strong, cross-functional teams across the organization.
- Apply broad business concepts to enhance profitability and develop organizational policies.
- Review activity, cost, operation analyses, and forecasts to track progress toward company goals.
- Develop and ensure compliance with annual operations and capital budgets.
- Define, communicate, and ensure the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct reports.
- Mentor others to develop as leaders, serving as a role model.
Your strengths include :
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of management experience.
- PMP and PMI certification, or equivalent, is desirable.
- Ability to use financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Technical proficiency, such as interpreting engineering plans and product knowledge.
- Experience managing $40-50 million worth of work annually.
- Continuous cost and budget monitoring to improve financial performance.
- Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Recruitment and promotion of top talent to meet organizational needs.
