<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Position Summary:<p>The General Labourer role may perform a variety of tasks, including assembling, inspecting and packaging <span >castings/assemblies</span> according to work instructions to support the company&#39;s ability to meet customer shipment delivery commitments.</p>Key Duties & Responsibilities:<p><strong>To assemble, inspect and package <span >castings/assemblies</span> to customer specifications to enable the Company to meet customer shipment delivery commitments. </strong></p><ul><li>Receive and review work instructions to verify required activities;</li><li>Weigh parts, remove flash, machining burrs using appropriate deburring tools/machines, and/or hand degate castings according to work and/or special instructions;</li><li>Assemble parts using specialized tools where indicated on the manufacturing instruction sheet;</li><li>Wash and dry castings following recognized procedures;</li><li>Re-label and re-weigh parts through the packing scale, verify boxed quantity, and provide Q.A. with the number of parts required for inspection;</li><li>Hand degate, package castings and ensure printed packing label information is correct;</li><li>Visually inspect castings for <span >contamination/defect,</span> remove non-conforming parts, complete required reworking, weigh up, and record scrapped pieces at end of shift, including why parts scrapped;</li><li>Fill skid and distribute to appropriate location;</li><li>Load ingots and scrap into pots as required. </li></ul><p><br><br></p><p><strong>To regularly perform required housekeeping duties to continually maintain a safe and clean work area.</strong></p><ul><li>Clean/wash/vacuum machines each shift;</li><li>Wash and mop work area floor each shift;</li><li>Reposition skids using pallet trucks as needed to ensure oncoming shifts have sufficient parts.</li></ul><br /><p><strong>Education & Experience Required</strong><strong>: </strong></p><ul><li>Minimum Grade 10;</li><li>Minimum of one (1) years&#39; <span >production/machine/manufacturing</span> experience, preferably within an ISO certified manufacturing environment</li><li>Previous experience safely operating a pallet truck preferred;</li><li>Previous experience in a capacity requiring part/product visual inspection for extended periods</li><li>Previous experience in parts/product assembly preferred;</li><li>Previous experience safely operating an electric hand cart preferred.</li></ul><br /><p><strong>Skills & Knowledge Required</strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced level manual dexterity skills;</li><li>Basic level mechanical aptitude skills;</li><li>20/20 vision (natural or assisted) to visually detect casting non-conformances;</li><li>Ability to lift continuously over the course of the shift.</li></ul><br /><p><p><em>Dynacast Ltd. is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
