We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our client as a General Labour in their warehouse. The ideal candidate will assist with various warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders, occasional heavy lifting, and other general labour tasks. This position offers appropriate training for all tasks and requires a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking & Packing:
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer orders.
- Ensure all items are properly labeled and packaged for shipment.
- Verify and cross-check items against order sheets for accuracy.
Heavy Lifting (Occasional):
- Lift and carry heavy items (up to 60 pounds) when required.
- Safely handle and move materials and products within the warehouse.
Warehouse Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including sorting, organizing, and stacking inventory.
Equipment Handling:
- Use and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely, as trained.
- Assist in inventory management and stock organization.
Training & Development:
- Participate in training sessions to learn best practices for various warehouse tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members to meet daily production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a General Labour in a warehouse setting is required.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 60 pounds) when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent physical stamina and capability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Team player with good communication skills.
