<p>Bracebridge, ON</p><p>South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, Ontario requires two (2) Full-Time Hospitalists to support the addition of a new acute care line launching April 1, 2025.</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> HOCC stipend of $900 a day. Fee for Service</p><h3>Position</h3><p>South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, Ontario requires two (2) Full-Time Hospitalists to support the addition of a new acute care line launching April 1, 2025.</p><p>South Muskoka Memorial Hospital is a 59-bed hospital serving 35,000 local residents and 75,000 seasonal residents. Our tourist population grows to a million in the summer when people take advantage of our lakes and rivers or visit the world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park.</p><p><strong>Description:</strong></p><ul><li>Week-long block of work from Monday 0800 to Monday 0800</li><li>A minimum of 24 weeks per year is considered full-time</li><li>Census goal of 18-22 patients a day</li></ul><p><strong>Support</strong></p><ul><li>Shared coverage of all hospital in-patients with a second Hospitalist (excluding the ICU which is covered by Internists and Surgeons)</li><li>We can pair you with a local physician who is familiar with our EMR and can provide support</li><li>Local consults are provided by General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, GP Anaesthesia, GP OB and Palliative Care</li><li>Psychiatry support is available in the region, mainly from colleagues in Orillia</li><li>Orthopedics support is available in Barrie, Orillia and Collingwood</li><li>On-site laboratory services, CT, Ultrasound, ECHO, X-Ray, Mammography, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Therapy</li></ul><p><strong>On-Call</strong></p><ul><li>Evening call may require coverage of OR Assist</li></ul><p><strong>Incentive</strong></p><ul><li>We will support you with an accommodation stipend of $125 / night, to a maximum of $1000.</li><li>Our team may be able to assist with housing options – i.e.: house sitting, staying at a local MD's house or reduced hotel rates</li></ul><h3>Application Instructions</h3><p>For more information please contact:</p><p>David Gravelle<br/>Health Human Resources Recruiter<br/>Muskoka and Area Ontario Health Team<br/>recruiter@maoht.ca<br/>https://maoht.ca/recruitment/<br/>(705) 321-8487</p>
