We are hiring a French Language Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client.</p><p><strong>Job Information</strong></p><ul><li><p>Ref: 191076</p></li><li><p>Student: Child (9 years old)</p></li><li><p>Location: Edmonton, Alberta – near Ambleside Pond, T6W 0K2</p></li><li><p>Preferred start date: ASAP</p></li><li><p>Lesson format: Face-to-face, in-person</p></li></ul><p><strong>Details</strong></p><ul><li><p>Availability: Friday evenings, between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm</p></li><li><p>Lesson Frequency: 1 time per week</p></li><li><p>Lesson Duration: 1 hour each</p></li><li><p>Current level: Beginner</p></li><li><p>Native/other languages: Tamil, English</p></li><li><p>Goals:</p><ul><li><p>Provide tuition support for schoolwork and build confidence for upcoming exams</p></li><li><p>Strengthen understanding of school French curriculum and assignments</p></li><li><p>Build vocabulary and grammar skills appropriate for grade level</p></li><li><p>Improve reading and comprehension abilities</p></li><li><p>Prepare for language exams and develop school-related communication skills</p></li><li><p>Understand how schools function in the new country</p></li><li><p>Learn through games and interactive conversation practice</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Design engaging and structured lessons aligned with the school’s French curriculum</p></li><li><p>Support completion and understanding of school assignments</p></li><li><p>Incorporate games, conversation, and interactive methods to enhance motivation</p></li><li><p>Focus on grammar, reading, and vocabulary building</p></li><li><p>Help the student gain confidence in both spoken and written French</p></li><li><p>Provide regular feedback and adapt lessons to the student’s learning pace and interests</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Native or near-native proficiency in French</p></li><li><p>Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, linguistics, or related field</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience with children</p></li><li><p>Experience supporting school-aged students and homework assistance</p></li><li><p>Ability to make lessons fun, interactive, and tailored to the child’s learning goals</p></li></ul><p>All Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
