The successful candidate will collaborate with other experts to consult with clients; perform site examinations, testing, and analysis; and prepare professional engineering reports and findings in a clear and concise manner.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Provide technical expertise within the Materials Failure Groups investigations, projects, and tasks, including the development and implementation of desk studies and field investigations.</li><li>Collaborate with other groups on multidisciplinary projects to provide clients with solutions to complex losses and failures.</li><li>Perform site examinations relating to losses or failures at residential, commercial, industrial, and construction facilities.</li><li>Conduct failure analysis on a variety of materialsmetals, plastics, and <span >compositesincluding</span> fractography, materials characterization, and materials testing.</li><li>Test and assess the operation of systems and equipment both on-site and in our in-house laboratory.</li><li>Review plans, specifications, and instructions to determine compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.</li><li>Assist in preparing engineering drawings, models, and simulations from field measurements, sketches, calculations, and data.</li><li>Clearly communicate investigation findings to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, including in boardrooms, mediations, and court proceedings.</li><li>Prepare high-quality technical reports based on thorough investigation and sound engineering principles.</li><li>Manage projects through the full lifecyclefrom scope development to deliveryensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget.</li><li>Participate in client-facing and business development activities such as industry presentations, seminars, and technical publications.</li><li>Demonstrate commitment to the firms Strategic Plan and core values.</li><li>Perform additional duties as required.</li></ul><p></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.</li><li>7+ years of engineering experience, ideally within a consulting or forensic investigation environment.</li><li>Experience in the oil and gas sector is considered a strong asset.</li><li>Exposure to power generation or energy-related projects would be an advantage.</li><li>Experience performing investigations and failure analysis in a forensic engineering capacity is highly desirable.</li><li>P.Eng. license (or eligibility for registration) with APEGA is required; licensure with EGBC is considered an asset.</li><li>Strong background in fractography, materials characterization, and materials testing.</li><li>Proven experience working on construction sites or within industrial settings.</li><li>Excellent technical writing and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to clients and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle</li></ul><p></p><p>Competencies & Attributes:</p><ul><li>Strong commitment to client service.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively.</li><li>Professional and pleasant telephone manner.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Great interpersonal communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive administrative processes efficiently.</li><li>Understanding of business processes and workflow management to support efficient project coordination.</li><li>Results-oriented and proactive.</li><li>Proficient in learning and utilizing new computer applications.</li><li>Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.</li></ul><p></p><p>Our Mission:</p><p>We are problem solvers.
