Sit back for an elevated pub meal and relax with a large selection of local craft beers, or classic and contemporary cocktails.We are looking for a FLOOR MANAGER to join our FOH teamThe FLOOR MANAGER is responsible for helping the restaurant meet service, sales and profit objectives, along with supervising and directing daily work activities. Reporting to the General Manager, the FLOOR MANAGER assists with maintaining strong customer loyalty and public relations within the community and ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience, each time they visit the restaurant.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make decisions on matters of importance to guest serviceRecruit, train, orient Front of House staff; oversee continual training and performance managementManage staff, providing them with constructive feedback while maintaining a high level of employee morale; create an engaging and energetic environment where all associates work as a highly functioning teamDevelop employees by establishing performance expectations, providing ongoing coaching and recognizing solid performersMaintain high levels of quality control, hygiene, health and safety; uphold professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standardsEnsure positive guest service in all areas; investigate and respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to ensure guest recoverySKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:2 years’ experience in the field as a Manager or Supervisor, in a similar environmentPost-secondary degree/diploma in Business/Hospitality Management/Food and Beverage Management and/or equivalent is an assetSommelier accreditation or wine education is also an assetStrong leadership abilities; a positive outlook; passion for “the biz”Well-developed problem solving and decision-making capabilities; exceptional organizational skills; keen attention to detailSolid communication skills, verbal, written and presentationStrong work ethic and self-motivated; high degree of integrityAbility to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed, in a fast-paced environmentWHY WORK FOR US?Competitive WagesDiscounts at all Scale Hospitality Group RestaurantsCorporate Goodlife Fitness RatesFUN Team and CultureMedical/Dental Group Health BenefitsTraining, Development and Education ReimbursementSCALE HOSPITALITY GROUP recognizes its obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and, upon request, will provide accommodation in the recruitment processes to the point of undue hardship.
