Job Title: Finishing Draftsperson

Location: Hamilton, ON
Job Type: Permanent
The Finishing Draftsperson produces installation and outfitting drawings for accommodations and interior systems on vessels under construction, repair, or refit. This includes accommodation layouts, joinery, insulation, HVAC interfaces, and outfitting components. This role converts engineering concepts into production-ready finishing documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed accommodation, joinery, and interior outfitting drawings based on engineering packages.
- Develop installation drawings for paneling, ceilings, flooring, insulation, furnishings, washroom units, and outfitting components.
- Prepare HVAC interface drawings for interior spaces (ducting, diffusers, penetrations, terminations).
- Produce outfitting drawings for habitability systems such as galley equipment, doors, windows, lockers, and living quarters.
- Collaborate with Production teams to ensure accuracy, constructability, and practical installation sequencing.
- Update drawing packages based on redlines and field changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- College Technologist Diploma in Architectural, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Technology, or a related program.
- Marine accommodation/finishing experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with AutoCAD and familiarity with modular interior systems and finishing standards.
- Strong spatial understanding and attention to detail in interior layouts.
- Ability to produce practical, installation-focused drawings.
- Clear communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
