Adecco is currently recruiting for a Financial Specialist position for our client located in West-Ottawa, ON. The opportunity is a 12-month contract opportunity. The opportunity has a possibility of extension for up to 24 months.
This opportunity is on-site for the duration of the contract, requiring 5 days a week on-site. The successful candidate must hold a valid reliability-level security clearance.
The Financial Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating financial management activities in the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) including financial estimates and business requirements;
- Developing business plans as required;
- Determining resources required for the implement activities such as acquisition costs, operation, and maintenance costs and both recurring and non-recurring costs;
- Assisting in developing costs for specific activities such as: professional services, services, goods, and overhead costs of employees;
- Planning and reporting on the use of funds to meet the goals of the organization and maximize its value;
The Financial Specialist must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- University Degree or College accounting, finance, or a related discipline;
- Must hold a valid reliability level security clearance;
- 2+ years of working as a financial specialist or a similar role;
- 2+ years of working with SAP financial management products in the past 5 years;
- 2+ years of experience planning and organizing budget development and monitoring;
- Experience working with the Microsoft office Suite on a professional level (excel, outlook);
- Fluency in French would be considered a strong asset;
