North Star has proven itself to be a successful deep utility service company capable of handling any large-scale project.Duties and Responsibilities:To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following: Complete hazard assessments Complete daily preventative maintenance checks on equipment. Able to excavate mainline and service trenches Able to excavate tie-ins Crane pipe Operate a hoe packerQualifications and Experience: Knowledge of heavy equipment operations and site activities Problem solving and decision making capabilities Understand elevations and grading Listens to direction Strong communication skills Dedicated, reliable, hard-working Must be able to work as a member of a greater teamEducation: Clean drivers abstract Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification Active Ground DisturbanceWork Environment and Physical Requirements: Must be available to work long hours including evenings and weekends during the work season April to December.
Must be physically fit to perform manual labour in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting.
