Join BHP as an Engineer Reliability – Mechanical to support our global portfolio and help deliver the Jansen potash project.
Work Location
Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working supported.
Purpose
Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, this role ensures the safety and reliability of site‑wide equipment with a strong focus on mechanical engineering.
About The Role
- Own and manage critical control verifications and execution tasks in SAP.
- Ensure alignment with BHP’s Risk Management standards and critical control ownership.
- Lead RCA workshops for chronic equipment failures.
- Conduct monthly audits of physical assets and critical spares.
- Maintain and improve preventative maintenance strategies using GE APM.
- Drive continuous improvement aligned with the BHP Operating System.
- Support lifecycle management of Fuels, Lubes, Air, and Coolants.
- Participate in BHP Field Leadership and risk‑informed decision‑making.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Eligible for registration with APEGS.
- Experience in equipment reliability and risk management.
- Skilled in RCA and RCM facilitation.
- Strong understanding of condition monitoring and risk frameworks.
