Join BHP as an Engineer Reliability – Mechanical to support our global portfolio and help deliver the Jansen potash project.


Work Location


Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working supported.


Purpose


Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, this role ensures the safety and reliability of site‑wide equipment with a strong focus on mechanical engineering.


About The Role



  • Own and manage critical control verifications and execution tasks in SAP.

  • Ensure alignment with BHP’s Risk Management standards and critical control ownership.

  • Lead RCA workshops for chronic equipment failures.

  • Conduct monthly audits of physical assets and critical spares.

  • Maintain and improve preventative maintenance strategies using GE APM.

  • Drive continuous improvement aligned with the BHP Operating System.

  • Support lifecycle management of Fuels, Lubes, Air, and Coolants.

  • Participate in BHP Field Leadership and risk‑informed decision‑making.


About You



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Eligible for registration with APEGS.

  • Experience in equipment reliability and risk management.

  • Skilled in RCA and RCM facilitation.

  • Strong understanding of condition monitoring and risk frameworks.
