<p>About the job</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION SUPERVISOR</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Activity Sector:</strong> Pulp and Paper</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Site:</strong> Kamloops</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $115,000.00 - $130,00.00</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)</p><p><br></p><p><strong> YOUR ROLE </strong></p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent, the Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of electrical and instrumentation trades people in a safety focused Kraft Pulp Mill. The role will be of interest to effective leaders who are dynamic, resourceful, self-starters and demonstrate a commitment to safety.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ol><li>Repair, maintenance, calibration and verification of complex distribution equipment including hydro tie line transformers, electrical generation distribution and controls for three turbo generators</li><li>Supervising E/I employees during scheduled and non-scheduled shutdowns</li><li>Adhere to and promote company safety and environmental policies</li><li>Carrying out daily equipment maintenance work orders</li><li>Provide technical direction and supervision of Electricians and Instrumentation Mechanics as it applies to Variable Speed AC drive systems, MCC’s, DCS control systems and related equipment</li><li>Read and interpret electrical drawings, code specifications, and respond to service requests for electrical problems</li><li>Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems</li><li>Identify and order the required materials, tools, and external services for E&I maintenance activities</li><li>Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of E&I plans</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Skills And Abilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ol><li>Safety focused;</li><li>Self-directed and works with minimal supervision;</li><li>Confident communicator at all levels of organization including listening, writing and presenting</li><li>Change agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;</li><li>Strong problem solving & analytical skills, excellent judgment and confidentiality;</li><li>Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Strong analytical skills</li><li>Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to coach varying levels of the operation;</li><li>Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor and professional image.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Qualifications</strong></p><p><br></p><ol><li>Possess an Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in Electrical or Instrumentation</li><li>Previous experience supervising trades in a safety focused, industrial work environment</li><li>Proficient in maintenance systems development, implementation and use</li><li>Experience with PLC’s and related equipment, i.e. GE 90-30 and RX3i systems</li><li>Experience with Distributed Control Systems i.e. Provox/DeltaV</li><li>Proficient with computers including experience in working with a computerized maintenance management system (SAP)</li><li>Previous experience planning and scheduling within a multi trade work environment is considered an asset;</li><li>A dual ticket or experience in Electrical and Instrumentation would be an asset.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong> WHY WORK AT KRUGER? </strong></p><p><br></p><p>At Kruger, we believe in giving our employees the space to grow in a dynamic and stimulating environment, to encourage their development, and to enrich their professional lives.
