What You'll Do

EH&S Leadership and Program Development
  • Provide day-to-day EH&S support and subject-matter expertise across manufacturing, engineering, and corporate teams.
  • Collaborate with leaders and employees to develop, implement, and continuously improve EH&S programs aligned with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, update, and maintain policies, procedures, safe work instructions, and training content to ensure ongoing compliance.

Risk Reduction and Compliance
  • Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance audits; identify trends and lead corrective action planning.
  • Manage internal COR audit preparation and execution; identify gaps and implement improvements to maintain certification.
  • Serve as primary contact for WCB reporting, claims management, modified-work programs, and regulatory correspondence.

Incident Management and Prevention
  • Lead investigations of incidents and near misses; facilitate root cause analysis and develop actionable corrective measures.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate EH&S key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to develop proactive strategies that reduce incidents and strengthen company-wide safety culture.

Training and Engagement
  • Deliver engaging EH&S orientations, toolbox talks, and targeted training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track employee training through internal learning systems and databases.
  • Co-chair the Joint Health & Safety Committee, promoting collaboration, transparency, and operational excellence.

Contractor and System Management
  • Manage contractor prequalification and ongoing compliance through systems such as ISNetworld and Avetta.
  • Review contractor safety plans, conduct performance monitoring, and support safe execution of on-site activities.

What You Bring
  • Experience supporting EH&S programs in manufacturing, industrial operations, or energy-related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, hazard identification, and root cause investigation.
  • Experience with COR audits, WCB claims management, and EH&S management systems.
  • A collaborative, confident, and proactive approach—able to influence, engage, and communicate across all levels.
  • Commitment to building a strong, positive safety culture in a fast-paced technical environment.
