Employer details Stepping Stones Montessori Job details Location- ST, Sylvan Lake, AB T4S 1C6 Work location- On site Salary-18.00 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week Terms of employment -Permanent employment Full time Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day Starts as soon as possible vacancies-1 vacancy Overview Languages English Education College/CEGEP Experience Experience an asset On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities Tasks Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Maintain daycare equipment Storytelling Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Child development assistant (ECE level 1) Child development worker (ECE level 2) Employment groups This employer promotes equal employment opportunities for all job applicants, including those self-identifying as a member of these groups: Support for newcomers and refugees Does not require Canadian work experience Support for youths Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth Support for Indigenous people Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers Support for mature workers Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination Supports for visible minorities Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.) Who can apply for this job?
