What is the opportunity?

You will provide strategic leadership of the Global Credit – Ratings & Monitoring team, which offers credit management and analytic support for RBC’s Capital Markets lending business. R&M is a key partner to Corporate Banking and GRM Wholesale Credit, acting as the main contact for ratings actions, risk assessment, credit analysis, and continuous monitoring of portfolios. Responsibilities include providing credit opinions, analyzing significant credit events, evaluating ratings, monitoring company/sector performance, and early detection of high-risk accounts. What will you do?

Lead and develop a global team responsible for credit monitoring and risk assessment, supporting business growth. Manage assigned portfolios, ensuring ongoing credit oversight, timely risk assessments, and credit comments. Identify and address deteriorating credit situations. Resolve policy and process issues, stay updated on policy changes, and manage regulatory priorities. Participate in internal committees, promote collaboration, and identify efficiencies. Oversee recruiting and training, fostering continual staff development. Provide feedback and coaching, support talent development, and manage core group responsibilities. What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

10+ years in lending, credit, or risk management. Strong banking background. Familiarity with Global Credit and RBC Capital Markets processes. Leadership and mentoring skills. Analytical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication. Team-oriented, collaborative, adaptable. Proficiency in MS Office and databases. Advanced education (MBA, CFA, CA) preferred.
