About the Role

The Director, OT Infrastructure Services & Cyber Security, in conjunction with the VP, Cyber Security is highly engaged with Dexcent clients and prospects, directly selling, and soliciting feedback. They support the VP- with team leadership, as assigned, for the division.

About the Candidate


Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience leading projects, people and client engagement.
  • 10+ years’ experience in ICS OT infrastructure operations or related industry including, testing, support and maintenance, cyber security monitoring and controls enforcement, compliance and audit support, risk analysis and contingency planning, etc.
  • 8+ years’ experience managing a knowledge-based business (e.g., ICS, SCADA, OT Infrastructure and Cyber Security services, and Oil & Gas industry).
  • Certifications that would be an asset include: Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Certified Information Systems Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Management (CISM).
  • History of continuing professional development and training in leadership and sales is preferred.
  • Prior or additional experience from the IT infrastructure and operations world could be an advantage, but demonstrable experience of ICS OT environments are a prerequisite.

Responsibilities


Detailed duties and responsibilities include:

  • Actively participate with senior management in strategy development, execution planning, and annual budgeting, providing market and competitor intelligence.
  • Effectively communicate strategic plans and business goals to team members, motivate and empower them to contribute to the company’s success.
  • Work across functions with peers in other sectors and departments to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
  • Drive labour utilization rates to ensure achievement of budgeted revenue and margins.
  • Identify and propose new growth areas/innovative offerings that will meet existing customer needs and/or reach new markets; and validate market readiness of existing and new offerings.
  • Participate in technical sales activities, prepare proposals and participate in interviews and presentations.
  • Partner and collaborate with clients to provide solutions, ensuring that they see Dexcent as a ‘trusted adviser’.
  • Manage projects, coordinating project logistics with clients and other stakeholders consistent with project plans to meet deadlines and deliverables, within budget.
  • Identify and solve project-related problems that are technical, business and resource specific, and facilitate brainstorming sessions, project kick-offs, sprint planning, and retrospectives/post-mortem.
  • Foster a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement; provide opportunities for team members to suggest product improvements, sales growth opportunities, cost savings options and work environment improvements.
  • Complete Cyber Security assessments and provide consulting services to Dexcent clients, mentoring Dexcent team members as appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant provincial, federal and international laws and regulations as they pertain to Cyber Security and related domains; ensuring Dexcent’s related policies and practices meet or exceed the standard.
  • Consult with clients to advance OT Cyber Security practices and controls.
  • Guide and support clients with planning, ICS infrastructure design, and documentation activities.
  • Engage with clients to confirm project requirements against specifications, and best practices and ensure completion of projects.
  • Evaluate client needs, identify Cyber Security technology solution options, and present recommendations, effectively communicating the value proposition to all decision makers and influencers.
  • Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposals and advise or accept as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services.
  • Review Cyber Security projects/programs for reasonability and accuracy.
  • Lead Cyber Security project teams to conduct threat management, assess and enhance cyber systems security and network security, conduct assessments/reviews, and develop governance and risk management standards.
  • Review, enhance and implement network segmentation principles, access control mechanisms, cyber threat intrusion detection and response systems, threat monitoring and reporting, cyber asset management solutions, vulnerability and patch management services.
  • Lead Cyber Security assessments/reviews, development of remediation roadmaps, and implementation of recommendations.
  • Lead vulnerability assessments and advise on remediation plans.
  • Develop Cyber Security (IT & OT) and related policies and procedures for clients and support the implementation process.
  • Review various sources of documentation, existing design artifacts, management of change (MOC) records, asset management systems of record, logs, and asset monitoring to confirm how the client environment has been configured.
  • Assist clients with coordinating Cyber Security activities across multiple projects, divisions and systems.
  • Provide quality control (QC) reviews and testing support against design, installation, commissioning, documentation and change management activities.
  • Design, develop, format and proofread professional reports, proposals, presentations and correspondence.
  • Deliver formal presentations and reports for client engagements.
