Lumentum Operations LLC is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales and business development efforts for large North American Network Equipment Manufacturer (NEM) accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence in these accounts. This is a highly visible position reporting directly to the VP of Sales. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Management, R&D and Operations to meet their objectives. Responsibilities Job Description * Lead and manage the sales and business development activities for large North American Network Equipment Manufacturer (NEM) accounts. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales targets * Build and maintain strong relationships at both working and exec levels internally and with the customer * Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth * Generate revenue and drive business growth by winning new design ins and managing existing business at large strategic accounts * Provide market insights and competitive analysis to support strategic decision making * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Line Management, R&D, FAE, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignment with customer roadmaps * Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management * Secure customer order bookings and billings to meet quarterly business plan and AOP Qualifications * A 4-year technical degree (or equivalent) * 12+ years direct experience in sales and business development in a technology company * Proven track record of achieving sales targets, generating revenue, winning new projects, and managing Tier 1 accounts * Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills * Excellent people skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams * Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies * Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities * Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets * Sense of ownership and accountability for achieving business objectives * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
