Reporting to the Senior Director, Advice & Investing Capabilities, the Director is accountable for developing, executing, & implementing new strategies to drive client growth & new Money-In opportunities. Developing new capabilities across the advice & investing ecosystem, aligned with the bank strategy. They will also be accountable for defining new capabilities & tools that are critical to the success of the business, including capabilities used by frontline advisors and client-facing digital platforms. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement, spending 2-3 days per week on-site, with other days remote. How You’ll Succeed

Thought leadership – Support the Senior Director in providing regular direction, guidance, and motivation to the broader team, striving for peak performance. Build ongoing partnerships with key partners across the business, technology delivery & architecture, and operations. Strategy – Proactively identify innovative and scalable growth opportunities in advice and investing, relevant to new and existing clients by assessing global competition, analyzing internal data, and client needs. Partner with vendors where applicable, conduct client journey mapping, and turn insights into actionable strategies. Own the development of a multi-year strategic roadmap, leading cross-functional strategy sessions. Maintain a strong understanding of the business’s strengths and opportunities to ensure initiatives align with strategic goals. Execution – Lead business case sizing to secure funding and executive buy-in, develop KPIs and targets, and gather feedback from clients and frontline staff at all levels. Reporting & governance – Manage and monitor progress against KPIs for the segment and ongoing programs. Continuously review post-implementation to ensure scale is achieved. Research and data analysis – Oversee research and data analysis to identify opportunities, stay updated on industry trends, client needs, and regulatory changes. Provide leadership on data assessments to inform strategy development. Cross-functional collaboration & relationship building – Partner proactively with stakeholders across CIBC to identify opportunities and lead client growth initiatives. Collaborate with teams including Product, Marketing, Digital, Frontline Tools, and Regions. Execution/implementation – Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives, coordinating work across partners. Who You Are

You have 8-10 years of experience in business strategy, product, or related roles. Knowledge of financial services is an asset, enabling you to analyze complex information and present it innovatively across organizational levels. You can navigate a complex matrix organization effectively. You are a bold, authentic leader passionate about developing and coaching teams to bring out their best. You have led diverse, high-performing teams. You possess strong delivery skills with experience leading large, complex initiatives or products. You act like an owner, thriving when empowered to take initiative and deliver results. You are passionate about people, value relationships, and build trust through respect and authenticity. You look beyond the moment, seeking new opportunities and defining what’s possible. You hold a degree/diploma in Business Administration; a Master’s degree is preferred. Values matter to you.
