KUBRA is in growth mode and currently seeking a Director, Cloud and Infrastructure Services to lead our Cloud and Infrastructure Services Team!

As a Director, Cloud and Infrastructure Services you will oversee the strategic and technical guidance for several teams, ensuring the operational excellence of public cloud environments and data center infrastructure. These are crucial for supporting KUBRA’s SaaS solutions including Customer Communications (CC), Customer Interaction Management (CIM), and Electronic Bill Presentment Payment (EBPP). A vital part of this position is to oversee the successful transition of on-premise and co-located data center-based systems to the AWS cloud.



This is a hybrid role out of our Mississauga office.
What you get to do every day
Support the development of KUBRA’s technology roadmap for cloud services
Strategically build and maintain a secured technical infrastructure to meet the growing needs of KUBRA’s Customer Communications (CC), Customer Interaction Management (CIM) and Electronic Bill Presentment Payment (EBPP) SaaS solutions
Plan and oversee the execution of cloud migration efforts
Develop the team to maximize talent capability and promote engagement.
Lead and manage annual strategic planning and budgeting process for your systems and services
Lead the identification, assessment, and implementation of new / emerging innovations in cloud technology, hardware, software, network, storage, communication and security solutions / technologies in support of future enterprise business expansion / compliance needs
Develop strategic relationships with IT vendors and manage the procurement and support of hardware, software licensing, Voice / Data lines and IT contracts.
Develop capacity planning models and key operational reports including capacity, availability, and performance metrics / compliance
Mature ITIL functions including Incident Management and Problem Management by driving root cause analysis activities, identifying corrective actions, and tracking completion of corrective actions within your area of responsibility
Formalize, improve, and contribute to the overall incident client communication and reporting processes
Enhance, test, document and develop the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Processes (BCP) technology operation strategies and documentation
Support responses to client and vendor Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) or equivalent
Lead technical teams that have accountability for multiple functions
Lead the team in achieving established goals and departmental objectives

Demonstrated experience in Strategic Planning but also able to lead tactical activities of team in transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
Leadership and people management – ability to attract, retain, motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance

Business management – understand strategy, business functions, metrics, decision-making and workflow

What skills do you need?
12+ years of relevant experience in IT Operations, with strong Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) and process experience (DevOps, ITIL, and Project Management)
5+ years of experience managing a team at a Senior level
Experience with Agile methodologies and associated tools e.g., Jira
Experience with ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change / Release Management, ITAM, CMDB)
ITSM with ServiceNow
Experience with database platforms (MS SQL, MySQL, Amazon RDS and Aurora)
Automation & Configuration Management (Puppet)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
Experience with security / compliance/audit/certification (PCI DSS, SOC, HIPAA, SOX)
Knowledge and experience with implementing and supporting complex: Move and Relocation of Data Centers. Production and corporate network infrastructure including but not limited to firewalls, routing, switching, load balancers, and WIFI (Cisco, Barracuda, F5).

Design of a HA I&O with expected RTO / RPO. Telephony, Telecom, IVR and/or PBX technologies (On Premise and Cloud). Virtualized networks, infrastructure and systems (VMWare). Storage and backup solutions (NAS, SAN, iSCSI, FC, etc.).

NOC Centre and application monitoring and observability (On Premise and Cloud, AiOps). Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure and Emerging Providers)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems

Other Education/Certification/Training preferred: AWS, Azure, CCNA, DevOps, ITIL, Agile, Networking
