Overview:

We’re looking for a Deficiency Technician to join our team – someone who understands construction, takes pride in their work, and knows how to represent a company well.

You won’t be on the tools every day, but a strong working knowledge of residential finishing is essential to assess issues, communicate with trades, and ensure a great homeowner experience.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to homeowner service requests and perform site assessments to identify deficiencies.
  • Evaluate and coordinate resolution for issues involving drywall, tile, minor plumbing and electrical, and carpentry.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and subcontractors.
  • Manage documentation of deficiencies, work orders, and follow-ups.
  • Support homeowner walkthroughs and post-occupancy reviews.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, courtesy, and a solutions-oriented approach.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in residential construction, with hands-on understanding of finishing trades.
  • Proficient in diagnosing issues across drywall, tile, plumbing/electrical, and carpentry.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor – someone clean-cut, courteous, and respectful.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to growing with the company long-term.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (vehicle allowance or company vehicle may be considered).
