Job Description
Title: Dayforce Payroll Implementation Consultant
Location: Ottawa, ON - open to Remote/Hybrid and in- person
Duration: 1-2 year contract
Requirements:
- Experience implementing or supporting Ceridian Dayforce Payroll.
- Proven experience in full-cycle payroll implementations, including configuration, data conversion, and testing.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, taxation, garnishments, year-end, and remittances (Canada and/or U.S.).
- Proficiency in Dayforce configuration tools, pay setup, and report generation.
- Ability to analyze payroll results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and apply corrections efficiently.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a consultative approach.
- Strong project management and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with HRIS integrations (benefits, GL, timekeeping, or accounting systems).
- Ceridian Certified Payroll Professional or related Dayforce certification.
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional payroll and unionized environments.
- Prior consulting or system implementation experience with a Ceridian Partner or SI firm.
- Working knowledge of Dayforce APIs, data imports, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of change management and process re-engineering within HR and Payroll environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
