If you are interested in building global challenger brands, scaling a business, and working in a values-driven environment, we want to hear from you!<h3>The Opportunity</h3>We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong experience in Master Data, Microsoft Power BI and ERP systems to join our Data Engineering & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in master data management, reporting, data modeling, enabling them to deliver actionable insights and support business decision-making.<h3>Responsibilities</h3>Master Data Management (MDM) & Governance<ul><li>Develop and implement master data management (MDM) strategies to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.</li><li>Define and enforce data governance policies, including data ownership, stewardship, and quality standards.</li><li>Manage master data domains (e.g., customers, vendors, products, financial data) across the organization.</li><li>Work closely with business teams to define data definitions, taxonomies, and hierarchies.</li><li>Monitor data quality metrics, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Collaborate with IT and business teams to establish data integration and synchronization processes.</li><li>Support ERP master data migration, consolidation, and cleansing efforts.</li><li>Ensure consistency and integrity of master data across ERP and other business systems.</li></ul>ERP Data Analysis & Reporting<ul><li>Work with ERP systems (preferably Sage X3) to extract, analyze, and report on key business data.</li><li>Ensure accurate and seamless data integration between the ERP system and other enterprise applications.</li><li>Identify opportunities for data automation and process improvement related to ERP reporting.</li></ul>SQL & Database Management<ul><li>Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.</li><li>Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to support analytics and reporting needs.</li><li>Perform data cleansing, validation, and normalization to ensure accuracy and consistency across databases.</li><li>Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle to support data analysis requirements.</li><li>Implement indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning techniques to enhance query efficiency.</li><li>Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance when handling sensitive business data.</li></ul>Power BI Reporting & Data Visualization<ul><li>Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to provide business insights.</li><li>Work with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create calculated columns, measures, and aggregations.</li><li>Build and manage Power BI data models, including defining relationships, hierarchies, and calculated tables.</li><li>Implement row-level security (RLS) to restrict access to sensitive data within Power BI reports.</li><li>Optimize Power Query (M Language) transformations to efficiently process and shape data from multiple sources.</li><li>Publish, maintain, and schedule Power BI reports and datasets using Power BI Service.</li><li>Integrate Power BI with other data sources, APIs, and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Snowflake).</li><li>Conduct user training and support for Power BI report consumers.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s/College degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.</li><li>4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.</li><li>Strong SQL proficiency, with experience in writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.</li><li>Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and Power BI Service administration.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (preferably Sage X3) for data extraction, integration, and reporting.</li><li>Knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).</li><li>Understanding of master data management (MDM) principles and data governance.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Experience working with AWS cloud services (S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda) is an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Snowflake) is a plus.</li></ul>Other DetailsThis is a full-time role based out of Ontario.#LI-RemoteWe appreciate your interest, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
