Corporate Law Clerk (Brampton)
Job description
Our client is a fast-growing boutique firm based in Brampton. They are currently in search of an ambitious Corporate Law Clerk to join their growing team.
Your new role
In this new role, you will be involved in a variety of corporate matters, including corporate services work such as incorporations, amalgamation, and continuances, as well as annual returns and business name registrations. You will also handle corporate transactional matters including financings, share purchases, rollovers, and closings. Additionally, you will aid in the preparation of tax-driven reorganizations – estate freeze, s.85 rollovers, purifications, and other complex reorganizations. You will be tasked with managing all procedural and administrative tasks, and reviewing and analyzing corporate charter documents and records to ensure compliance with governing statutes and identify deficiencies.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 3 years of Corporate Law experience. A combination of private practice experience and relevant in-house corporate experience may be considered. You should be very professional and able to interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels. Experience working in a corporate database will be a huge asset.
