Our asset management division, Guardian Capital LP, is the manager and portfolio manager of the Guardian Capital Funds and Guardian Capital ETFs, with capabilities that span a range of asset classes, geographic regions and specialty mandates.
Guardian Capital LP manages portfolios for institutional clients such as defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, insurance companies, foundations, endowments and investment funds.
The Coordinator, Product Management will facilitate the workflow of team processes by maintaining the team’s task intake process. The Coordinator will gain exposure to a wide array of investment strategies and teams, developing broad knowledge of our product offering and operations. This position will be instrumental to the successful growth of Guardian’s investment strategies; it offers an excellent opportunity to refine skills and develop knowledge of investments and product management.
This position is most suitable for a highly-organized candidate seeking an entry-level position in Product Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Project and Process Management
- Support Product Team by leading the workflow of marketing content and collateral for investment strategies;
- Maintain responsibility for tasks and timelines on Product Team projects and requests
- Develop and implement workflow processes to improve communication and efficiency within Product Team; and
- Oversee workflow automation and documentation review processes.
Analytics and Data Management
- Reviewing external sources of data such as, and not limited to, Morningstar, Fundata, eVestment and other institutional/retail website databases to ensure the information is accurate;
- Auditing fund metrics from both internal and external data sources, including performance, holdings and characteristics
- Proactively coordinating and working with various departments such as Operations, Technology, Compliance and investment teams to ensure the data required for marketing activities are accurate;
- Creating and maintaining marketing analytics reports for internal stakeholders;
- Complete recurring data and automation tasks, update and maintain code as necessary; and
- Support and complete administrative tasks for the team to ensure processes operate successfully.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary degree
- Demonstrated project management ability
- Experience with coding languages such as SQL and Python is considered a strong asset
- Accountability and willingness to work independently on repetitive tasks
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and balance multiple competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to be both a team player and independent contributor
- Proficient expertise in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required, experience with task management software is an asset
- Willingness to pursue industry designations if needed
