Controller – Construction Industry – Relocation Woodstock

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to take ownership of a growing construction group’s financial operations? A Construction Group is looking for a Controller to lead financial management across multiple entities and projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee accounting operations, including AR/AP, payroll, and month-end reporting.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
  • Lead audit preparation, HST and tax filings, and compliance.
  • Partner with project and operations teams to review job costing and improve financial visibility.
  • Drive system and process improvements using Vista by Viewpoint or similar ERP tools.

What You Bring:

  • CPA or CMA designation (required).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience - construction industry preferred.
  • Strong ASPE knowledge and multi-entity accounting skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with auditors and senior leadership.
