Role Overview:
We’re seeking a highly motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and lead the design and implementation of robust security solutions in cloud environments.
You’ll play a key role in developing scalable, automated security architectures that help detect, prevent, and respond to threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage cloud engineering skills to implement cloud security solutions, as part of the broader security architecture and solution delivery team.
- Design and implement identity and access automation (e.g., auto-provisioning/deprovisioning, role-based access controls).
- Deploy logging and monitoring solutions
- Perform cloud security posture assessment and support red team/blue team initiatives.
- Automate cloud vulnerability scanning using tools
- Implement cloud asset hardening solutions based on CIS Benchmarks or custom baselines.
- Collaborate with clients to integrate these solutions into existing workflows using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prioritize and implement vulnerability remediations.
Tools & Technologies:
Experience with the design and implementation of the following tools:
- AWS CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, Inspector, and custom log pipelines
- IAM, Security Groups, KMS
- Terraform, Ansible, and/or Cloudformation
- Python, Powershell
Nice to have experience:
- Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, and the Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft Entra, PIM, Network Security Groups
- Knowledge of containers (ECS, EKS, AKS)
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, ideally with a minimum of one year focusing on cloud security.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and cloud architecture best practices.
- Strong scripting or coding skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar.
- Industry certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP would be an asset.
