We are looking for a Civil Technician with experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development projects. This is a perfect opportunity for a talented professional to take the next step in their career, joining our Design Team in taking on technical challenges and working on a variety of projects.


Responsibilities:


Production of drawings for a variety of land development projects. Including:

grading, drainage and site servicing;

Preparation of plan and profiles and sections

Preparation erosion and sediment control design and staging plans

Preparation of as-construction drawings

Preparation of general drawing notes and specifications

Assistance with submission package preparation and coordination

Assistance with quantity take-offs

Day to day project coordination tasks

Preparing earthwork calculations

Preparation of figures and graphics in addition to detailed engineering drawings, when required;

Preparation of earthworks analysis / 3D surface comparison;

Projects coordination and attending meetings.

Skills & Qualifications:


Completion of a college diploma or university degree, with a focus on drafting / municipal engineering using either AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D;

Experience in drafting & design experience working in 2D & 3D on municipal projects including roads, utilities, and subdivisions is preferred;

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software including Excel;

Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply design standards and guidelines;

Ability to work well within a dynamic team of engineers and technologists as well as working under limited supervision;

Proficiency with reading, analyzing, checking engineering drawings;

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction and correspondence with design team and clients.

Eager to learn and take on new challenges, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.

Knowledge of GIS, surveying, and the land development process is an asset.
