Hays Civil Construction has partnered with our client to hire an experienced Civil Estimator to join their growing team in Milton.
Your new Company
The organization is a full-service construction company focused on civil works and site development in the ICI and private sectors; providing excavation, grading, underground site servicing, storm water management, roadworks, concrete works and hard and soft landing.
Your new Role
The Estimator will report to the Estimating Manager and will play a critical role in the pre-construction and procurement phase of construction projects. The estimator will be responsible for project assessment, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, vendor and subcontractor relations, change order management, budgeting and cost control, client engagement, and competitive analysis.
What you’ll need to Succeed
To succeed as the Estimator, you will bring a diploma in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field. You will bring 10+ years of experience estimating Civil Road Construction Projects and understand residential, ICI and municipal projects.
You will have experience estimating in site grading, underground site servicing and road works. You will be strong with estimating software and tools, and be an analytical thinker who is driven to problem solve. You will have the ability to accurately interpret drawings and project requirements.
Finally, you will be a self-starter who can work well independently but who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
