What You’ll Do:
- Produce complete estimates for a wide range of complex and unique heavy civil projects
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Calculates complete takeoff of scopes of work, including material quantity requirements from engineering drawings based on first principles estimating.
- Assists in review of final estimate to ensure alignment with project schedule and cost goals.
What We’re Looking for:
- At least 5+ years progressive experience civil estimating, preferably in underground utilities, roadworks, bridges, and excavations.
- A University Degree, College Diploma or certificate in Engineering or Construction Management. Or a combination of education and industry experience.
- Construction knowledge – overall understanding of construction processes, sequencing and planning concepts
- A comprehensive understanding of the bid process cycle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
